Obituary of Adelia Casa

Adelia Romeo Casa, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Vincent P. Casa, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Serino, Province of Avellino, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Eustachio and Michelina Vitagliano Romeo. Adelia worked as a seamstress at Warnaco for many years where she made many lifelong friends. Adelia was very active alongside her husband in their church, the Columbiettes and the Trinacia Club. She deeply loved her family in the United States and in Italy. Adelia had a warm smile and a large heart, made great meatballs and lasagna, and she was always ready to greet you with a hug and a hot cup of espresso.

Survivors include cherished nieces and nephews: Louis Regina, Lauren Hunter, Joseph Regina, Dori Moran, Salvatore Casa, Anthony Casa, Santina (Tina) Casa and Cassandra Casa, along with their families.

In addition to her husband, Vincent, she was predeceased by two brothers, Giovanno Romeo and his wife Antonietta, Riohege Romeo and his wife Elisa and two sisters, Luisa Delcicco and Amalia Romeo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 425 Anton St., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow at the family mausoleum at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
