Obituary of Domingos Leal

Domingos Dias Leal, age 80, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Aurora Baia Leal, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born on June 2, 1935 in Ardaos, Boticas, Portugal, he was a son of the late Alice Dias Leal and Adelino Martins Caralino. He was a machine operator for Precision Resource for many years before his retirement. Domingos immigrated to the United States in 1972, and settled in Bridgeport. He was a simple man who enjoyed the little things in life. But above all he loved time spent with his family, especially his grandsons. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his beloved wife of 43 years, Aurora, survivors include his cherished daughter, Celia Domack and her husband Jason of Oxford, two adored grandsons Michael and Kevin, a brother, Jose Carolino of France, sisters, Ana Lopes of France, Lourdes Fernandes of Portugal and Ilta Leal of France, as well as several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Antonio and Adelino Carolino. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 8 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
