Obituary of Albino Picarazzi

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Albino Picarazzi age 87 of Milford, CT on November 30, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Rose Capasso Picarazzi for 62 years. Better known as Mario, he was born in Rome, Italy on March 1, 1928 a son of the late Giovanni and Maria DeVellis Picarazzi. Mario was a self-employed contractor and raised his family in Trumbull before moving to Easton and then to Milford in his later years. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1946 to 1947 and was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus at Saint Catherine's Church in Trumbull. In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves behind his cherished children, John Picarazzi and daughter-in-law Deborah of Monroe, Diana Picarazzi of West Palm Beach, FL, and Anthony Picarazzi and daughter-in-law Kathi of Milford; his grandchildren, Michael Picarazzi of Milford, Jessica (Dr. Greer) Richardson of Chester, John Picarazzi Jr. of Monroe, Anthony Picarazzi of Milford, Matthew Picarazzi of Trumbull, Erica Picarazzi of Milford, and Chelsea Picarazzi of Monroe, his great grandchildren Ella and Ryder Richardson of Chester, his brother Guido Picarazzi and wife Jean of Trumbull, two sisters Sylvia Chandler and her husband Peter of Virginia, and Virginia Picarazzi of Fairfield, his brother in law Ralph Capasso and wife Louise of Trumbull, and brother in law Anthony Capasso and wife Mimi of Nesconsett, NY, as well as many loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ida and brother in law Albert Shepard and his stepmother Rose Sementelli Picarazzi, who raised him. The Family would like to express special thanks to all of the wonderful staff at Milford Health Care Center who took excellent care of Mario during his stay there. Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with military honors will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and family may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
