Obituary of Gloria A. Rosasco

Gloria Tesauro Rosasco, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Robert F. Rosasco Sr., passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Astoria Queens, New York on January 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Rose Fella Tesauro and was a longtime resident of Trumbull and The Villages, FL. Gloria was a registered nurse and before her retirement she worked at St. John's Hospital in New York, St. Joseph's Manor and as a visiting nurse for many years, later working at the Trumbull Library. Gloria was full of life and enjoyed long conversations and engaging in a good debate. She cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved her two dogs, Bella and Jazz immensely. She loved to entertain and cook for everyone and was always happy to serve her favorite Italian dishes to her family and many dear friends. She was actively involved in the Red Hats Club, the Italian Club, the Welcome Wagon, the Garden Club and many other organizations throughout her life. Survivors include her three loving children, Robert F. Rosasco Jr. and Angie Palmer of Woodbridge, Lori Rosasco Schwartz and her husband Stuart Schwartz of Trumbull and Linda Rosasco and her husband Brian Smith of Cumberland, RI, a sister, Sarah Saia of Whitestone, NY, nine cherished grandchildren, Sara Nitcher and her husband Sean, Robert Rosasco III and his wife Sarah, Erin Conner and her husband Kristopher, Stephanie, Nicole and Justin Schwartz, Matthew, Lauren and Jake Smith and two dear great grandchildren, Katie and Annabelle Nitcher as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased a sister, Marie Tucci and two brothers, Joseph and Antonio Tesauro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private.
