Obituary of Michael Costa Adam

Michael Costa Adam, 85, of Navarre, FL, passed peacefully into the arms of Our Lord on Friday, September 18, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Mike was a son of the late Costas Buzi Adam and Emili Dushku Adam, and was born on October 5, 1930 in Korce, Albania. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Johanna Koshinski Adam of Navarre, FL, son and his wife, Michael and Lee Ann Adam of Austin, TX; daughter and her husband, Karen Adam and Walter Kasprzyk, of Navarre, FL; and son, Peter Adam, of Navarre, FL, his brother and his wife, Peter and Kim Adam of Orleans, MA, five granddaughters: Erika Dunham and Meredith Locke of Navarre, FL, Deanna DeNeutte of Stratford, Kristen Adam of Naugatuck, and Emili Antos of Trumbull and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike graduated Harding High in 1949 and attended business school; where he went on to manage Schneider's Shoes in Bridgeport, then Wilton Bootery in Wilton. He was an active member of the Bridgeport Lions Club and member of the AANO. In the 80's he moved to San Antonio where he owned and operated Medical Center Florist until retiring in 1998 and moving to Florida. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. George's Albanian Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, from 4-8 p.m. A Trisagion service will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. George's Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St., Trumbull, CT 06611.
