Obituary of Maria Lepore

Maria Polidoro Lepore, age 88, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Idolo Lepore, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 with her loving and dedicated family by her side. Born in Santa Lucia di Serino, Province of Avellino, Italy on June 29, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Rocco and Philomena Martone Polidoro. Maria was a retired employee of 3030 Park, Bridgeport, where she made many lasting friendships. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cared deeply for her family. Her love and devotion to her family will always live on in their hearts. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Grosso, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include one brother Marianno Polidoro and his wife Giovanna, and nine loving children, Annamaria Blauch and her husband Robert, Margherita Grosso and her husband Ronald, Giovannina Townley and her husband Dave, Philomena Dina and her husband Kenny, Linda Silva and her husband Mark, Diane Caplinger and her husband Denny, Michael Lepore and his wife Tracey, John Lepore and his wife Michele Ciarcia and Susan Hatzis and her husband Greg; 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Connecticut Hospice, especially Shelly Naul and Georgia Kay for the care and compassion shown to Maria in her time of need. Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Connecticut Hospice/Norwalk Home Care, 1 Park St., Norwalk, CT 06851.
