Obituary of John Francis Reynolds

John Francis Reynolds, age 59, of Seymour, devoted husband of Elaine Savo Reynolds, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 after a short stay in the hospice unit of the Veterans Hospital in West Haven. Born in Bridgeport on May 25, 1956, he was a son of the late Raymond and Agnes Zwierlein Reynolds. A U. S. Air Force veteran, John is the former owner of Reynolds Valley Cab Co. and has been the owner of Reynolds Trucking LLC for 15 years. He was one of the original members of the Bridgeport Harley Owners Group, a member of the Bridgeport Rifle Club and the Fairfield County Game and Fish Club. John had a passion for motorcycles, hunting and target shooting. His most recent pleasure was coaching his granddaughters, Rose and Haley with the BRC Youth Shooting League. In addition to Elaine, his wife of 29 years, John is also survived by his daughter, Dena Reynolds and her partner Kurt Kapusta of Thomaston and son, Brian Reynolds and his wife Joanne of Beacon Falls, five grandchildren, Rose, Haley, Brian, Kayla and Kody, his sister, Maryann Huda and her husband Brian of Monroe, his brother, Raymond Reynolds of East Hampton, his mother-in-law, Rose Savo of Seymour. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
