Obituary of Biagio Pullo

Biagio Pullo, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Vincenza Cortina Pullo, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on September 4, 1925, he was the son of the late Biagio and Palma Pullo. Mr. Pullo was a labor foreman for Moss and Monaco Construction Companies for many years. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and also enjoyed watching boxing. He spent time at the mall walking and card playing. Some of his favorite hobbies were winemaking, gardening and sausage making and scratch off tickets. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his kind, generous nature. In addition to his wife of 69 years, Vincenza, survivors include two sons, Rocco Pullo of Trumbull and Angelo Pullo and his wife Marilyn of Stratford, five beloved grandchildren, Michael and his wife Angela, Brian, Mark and his wife Sandy, Jason and his wife Abby and Joseph, brothers-in-law, Lino Cortina and his wife Lina and Gino Cortina and his wife Silvana, all of Trumbull and sister-in-law, Sebastiana Cortina of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, Albert Cortina Sr. and his sister-in-law, Filomena Cortina. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
