Obituary of Dorothy C. Mastroni

Dorothy Vidic Mastroni, age 77, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Benjamin M. Mastroni, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Mark and Mary Kluz Vidic. Mrs. Mastroni was a medical secretary with Dr. Ken Maiocco for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling especially to Marco Island, Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Morrissey of Milford, Sharon Fournier and her husband William of Seymour and Deborah Mattingly and her husband Brian of Monroe, seven grandchildren, David Morrissey, Meghan Morrissey, Chris Fournier, Melissa Fournier, Samantha Miller, Emma Mattingly and Ava Mattingly, a sister, Mary Ann Kennelly and her husband Edward of Monroe, a sister-in-law, Mary Raucci of Stratford, two stepdaughters, Diana Mastroni Fox and her husband Doug of Trumbull and Linda Pinto of Monroe as well as several nieces and nephews and close friend, Dottie Schlenk. She was pre-deceased by a son, Peter T. Rackiewicz Jr. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
