Obituary of Lorraine Russo

Lorraine Di Bello Russo, age 47, of Trumbull, loving wife of Olimpio Russo, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 12, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 24, 1966 in the Bronx, New York, she was a daughter of Gea Palombo Di Bello of Yonkers, NY and the late Rolando Di Bello. Lorraine was a chef quality cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a kind hearted and great woman who gave of herself unconditionally; she was willing to help anyone in a time of need. But above all else, she was the world's greatest mom. Lorraine loved her children and her memory will continue to live on through them. In addition to her beloved husband of 23 years, Olimpio, and her mother, survivors include two cherished and adored children, Daniel (16) and Gabriella (10); her dog Sandy; a brother, Luigi Di Bello and his wife Maryanne, three sisters, Maria Di Bello, Anna Battista and her husband Wayne, all of Yonkers, NY and Rita Galotti and her husband Nicholas of Trumbull; brother-in-law, Antonio Russo and his wife Nora of Yonkers, NY; sisters-in-law, Michela Peña and her husband Odanny of Georgia and Concetta Russo of Long Island. She also leaves to cherish her memory many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Rosewood Mausoleum in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made, through the funeral director, to an education fund to benefit Lorraine's children.
