Obituary of Barbara C. Testi

Barbara C. LeCardo Testi, age 96, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Carmen F. Testi Sr., died peacefully on Sunday September 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stratford on March 13, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose Varrone LeCardo. Barbara was a member of the Mount Carmel Ladies Guild of Stratford. Barbara was a wonderful and caring mother to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and touched many lives. The family would like to thank the nurses with Vitas Hospice for the wonderful care and thoughtfulness. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Anthony C. Testi Sr., infant twins and 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include three loving children, Carmen F. Testi Jr., and his wife Mary Ann of Stratford, Rosemarie Archick and her husband Richard of Ansonia and Barbara England of Shelton, a daughter-in-law Yolanda Testi of Shelton; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Sciarappa; 13 grandchildren, Beth Tiberio (Steve), Patty Moore (Dave), Carmen R. Testi (Kim), Anthony Testi Jr. (Kim),Rocco Testi (Shelley), Donna Salwocki (Joel), Debbie Morrissey (Patrick), Corinne Sheridan (Ricky), Colleen Gibson (Ken), Barbara Fahy (Jeff), Jessica Archick (Rich), Norman England IV (Dawn) and Christie England; 28 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 99 Hawley Lane, Suite 1204, Stratford, CT 06614.
