Obituary of Ann T. D'Addario

Ann Theresa D'Addario, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late F. Francis "Hi-Ho" D'Addario, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her home with loving family by her side. Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 13, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Broman Wilinich. Ann was a dedicated mother to her five children. She enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, poetry, and entertaining. Strongly believing in giving back to her community, she volunteered her time and effort, creating a legacy of giving and support to others. As a lifelong Trumbull resident, she was a devout parishioner at St. Theresa's Church, Trumbull. Known for her love and strong devotion to her children and grandchildren, she spent countless hours proudly attending her grandchildren's athletic, theatre, and equestrian events. She was a mentor to all and always found the time to listen to others and offer a helping hand. Many enjoyable times were spent at "Nana's Cabana," where she took great enjoyment in cooking for family and friends. Our mother was a special lady that will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her. In addition to her husband, her daughter Lisa D'Addario predeceased her. She leaves behind four loving children; Virginia D'Addario and Brent Platt; Lawrence D'Addario and his wife Patricia; Marylou D'Addario Kennedy and her husband Sean and David D'Addario and his wife Polly; six cherished grandchildren, Nicholas D'Addario, Alexander, Courtney, and Tyler Kennedy, and Siena and Olivia D'Addario, as well as many loving relatives and friends that know the place they held in her heart. Our family would like to thank all of her " ladies" for the heartfelt love and exceptional care that they gave to our mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of our mother.
