Obituary of Loretta R. Feola

Loretta Feola, age 86, of Orange, wife of the late Peter V. Feola, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on June 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Anna Minnotti DeDonato. A graduate of Harding High School, she worked in the accounting department at Aquarion Water Company for many years before retiring at the age of 55. She had previously worked at Columbia Records formerly of Bridgeport for a number of years. Loretta was active in the Madonna Guild of St. Ambrose Church. She showed her artistic flair through her flower arranging and jewelry making skills. She found great enjoyment in dancing and taking day trips with her husband but her greatest pleasure was found in the time that she spent with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her brother, Michael A. DeDonato of Trumbull, and nephew, Donald DeDonato and his wife Susan of IL, and their children, Mark and his wife Sarah, and their daughter Olivia and David DeDonato, her niece, Nancy DeDonato Jones and her children, Robert and Christina Jones. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Peter of over 50 years, she was also pre-deceased by her sisters-in-law, Mary J. DeDonato, Florence Rago and Mary Dickshinski and a brother-in-law, Benjamin Feola. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
