Obituary of Michael L. Riso

Michael L. Riso, age 92, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Marie Vendetti Riso, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Northbridge Health Care Center. Born in Potenza, Italy on January 1, 1922, he was a son of the late Louis and Maria Corrado Riso. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Germany, Belgium and Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. He later worked for Dictaphone as a Quality Control Manager for many years before his retirement. Survivors include a son, Michael Riso and his wife Linda of Oxford, two daughters, Diane DelMedico and her husband Perry of Fairfield and Maribeth Shamas and her husband Daniel of Trumbull, seven grandchildren, Adam Riso and his wife Taylor, Brooke Riso, Ashley O'Reilly and her husband Patrick, Matthew DelMedico, David DelMedico and his fiancé, Monica, Daniel Fratarcangeli and Lisa Fratarcangeli and her fiancé Paul, two great grandchildren, Emerson Riso and Tyler O'Reilly as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son-in-law, Frank Fratarcangeli and a brother, Albert Riso. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to his devoted granddaughter, Lisa as well as the staff members of Northbridge Health Care, especially Rocky, Nancy, Craig and Jesse. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
