Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Visitation

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary of Mary Giamelle

Beloved Aunt Mary Hoza Giamelle, age 98, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 13, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in New York, NY on December 7, 1915, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Kolvek Hoza. Mary had worked for many years in the garment industry in New York City, where she was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was also a longtime member of the Monroe Senior Center. She found great enjoyment gardening and baking and also cherished the time spent with her family. She was predeceased by a sister, Emily R. ONeill and a brother, John Hoza. Survivors include beloved nieces, Lucille Raftery and her husband Gene, Ronnie Dickens and her husband Mike and a nephew, Art Hoza and his wife Marilyn; three great nephews, Ken Raftery, John Raftery and his wife Stephanie and Bill Raftery and his wife Betsy; great-great niece and nephews Kathleen, Alex, Charlie, Sean and Jason Raftery. She also leaves behind her longtime devoted caregiver and dear friend Kathy Minns, who has been like family over the last 12 years, as well as Kathys sister, Ann Douglas who also provided care. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
