Mario Gambino

Mario “Morris” Gambino, age 91, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of Van Duesen and Meyer, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, he was a son of the late Joseph and Grace Cataldo Gambino. He loved music, dancing and was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Biagina Puglisi Gambino, a brother, Joseph Gambino and two sisters, Marion Fatibene and Vera DeLeon. Survivors include a son, Joseph R. Gambino and his wife, Kathleen of Bridgeport, two sisters, Adeline Ferrante of Trumbull and Anna LeClerc of Fairfield, two grandchildren, Gina Gambino and Trisha Buchwald and her husband, Damien, one great grandson, Raven and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
