Sabina “Dolly” Virginia Laureno O’Connor, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Stamford, CT, she resided in Trumbull, CT since 1971 and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Vacca Laureno. Mrs. O’Connor was the proprietor of Dolly’s Tots and Teens Clothing Store in Stamford and was a homemaker. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She was a wonderful woman with a flair for fashion. She had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. She loved her family and friends and always made sure everyone was content and well fed. She also took care of all the neighborhood squirrels and always made sure they were fed too. She loved playing the numbers, going to the casino, shopping and just being with her family. As the matriarch of the family, she will be greatly missed. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John J. O’Connor and two brothers, John Sharkey Laureno and Michael E. Laureno, Sr. She is survived by her loving companion, Nicholas Fanell of Bridgeport, four children, Gail Cowley and her husband, James of Trumbull, John O’Connor and his wife, Marge of Huntington, Arlene Fanali of Monroe and her son-in-law, Joseph Fanali of Monroe, Lynn Mones and her husband, Wayne of Trumbull, a brother, Raymond Laureno and his wife, Reva of Beachwood, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Sharon Cowley, Steven Cowley, Esq. and his wife, Heather, Dr. John J. O’Connor and his wife, Mary Lynn, Sabrina Fanali and her fiancé, Chris Bernais, Mia Fanali-Skowronski and her husband, Gene, Megan Mones, Matthew Mones and Marc Mones, six great grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Benjamin and Caroline Cowley and Jack and Michael O’Connor. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Darien. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. |
