Anthony Ballaro, age 69, of Bridgeport, a retired custodian for the City of Bridgeport with many years of service, died on Sunday, August 12, 2007 in Bridgeport Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 9, 1938, he was a son of the late Matthew and Christine Garofalo Ballaro and was a lifelong city resident. Anthony was a devoted New York Yankees fan, enjoyed traveling and going to bingo halls. Survivors include two brothers, Matthew Ballaro of Bridgeport and Patrick Ballaro of Las Vegas, NV, his aunt Frances Ciuci of Bridgeport, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationA Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 365 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. |
