Mary R. Mariconda, age 83, of Derby, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born in Bridgeport on June 12, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marianna Giuseppe Monterosso. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Salvatore Mariconda, a son Thomas Mariconda and his spouse Walter Dembowski of Shelton, a daughter Marianne Carroll and her husband Morgan of Bridgeport, two granddaughters, Meghan Gervasio and Jennifer Dowler and her husband Warwick. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Jennie Gervasio and a sister Rose Uhl. Funeral InformationA Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Shrine, 2539 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
