Martha DeGruttola Damato, age 95, of Bridgeport, died on Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 12, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Ersilia Forte DeGruttola. She was a member of the St. Margaret’s Shrine Ladies Guild and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was pre-deceased by her husband Anthony Damato and her daughter Anna Marie Bovienzo. Survivors include two sons, Nicholas Damato and his wife Connie of Shelton and Charles Damato and his wife Lydia of Bridgeport, five grandchildren Gina Sweet and her husband David, Kari Damato, Anthony Damato and his wife Stacey, Charles Damato Jr. and Joseph Damato and his wife Carolyn, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Maefair Health Care Center for the care given to Mrs. Damato. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
