Albert C. Krafcik Sr.July 25, 1927 - September 01, 2010 Retired Stratford Firefighter
Albert C. Krafcik, Sr. of Milford, formerly of Stratford, devoted husband of 52 years of Marion Macaluso Krafcik, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Born in Bridgeport on July 25, 1927, he was a son of the late Anton and Pauline Krafcik. He was a graduate of the class of 1945 Stratford High School and a retired Stratford firefighter for 30 years. An avid Red Sox fan, Al was a natural athlete, he excelled in baseball, duckpin bowling, horseshoes, and enjoyed playing pool at the Milford Senior Center. Al was an active member of St Mark's Parish as a volunteer and usher. He was also a member of the Stratford Fire Benevolent, Stratford Oldtimers and Milford Senior Center. He served in the Infantry during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 0016. He was predeceased by his in- laws Dominick and Philomena Macaluso, brothers William and Anthony Krafcik and a sister Irene Leahy. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment, with military honors,will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. |
