Susan M. Callahan, age 58, of Fairfield, died on Monday, November 2, 2009 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Norwalk on December 13, 1950, she was a daughter of James Bruce and Mary Ann Burke Callahan of Fairfield. Susan was a legal assistant for Carron and Fink of Fairfield and had previously worked for Hansen’s Florist and Chartwell Food Service. She was past auxiliary president for the Fayerweather Yacht Club and had presently served on the Board. In addition to her parents, survivors include a son, Michael J. Mentes Jr. and his wife Jessica of Bridgeport, siblings, James B. Callahan and his wife, Lynn Sullivan and her husband Michael, Jeffrey Callahan and Jill Almeida and her husband Joseph, all of Fairfield, a granddaughter Morgan Mentes and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral InformationFriends can greet the family on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
