Giovannina Riccio, age 85, of Bridgeport, a retired seamstress, died on Monday, November 28, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Castelfranco in Miscano, Province of Benevento, Italy on June 14, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Narducia D’Agostino Riccio and along with her late husband, Matteo Riccio and their five children came to the U. S. in 1961 and settled in Bridgeport. Mrs. Riccio enjoyed traveling and cooking for her family and friends. All who knew her, knew that her kitchen was always open to them. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her greatest joy was having her beloved family around her. Survivors include five children, Michael Riccio and his wife, Antoinette, Joseph Riccio and his wife, Kathy, Pasquale Riccio and his wife, LouAnn, Rose Gleeson and her husband, Howard and Lorie Buzzanca and her husband, Joe, all of Trumbull, twelve grandchildren, AnnaMarie, Mike, Jr., Suzanne, Jennifer, Joey, Michael, Matthew, Anthony, Jennine, Joseph, Christina and David, four great grandchildren, her best friend, Carmellina Ciccerelli and several nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. Donations Information
