Palmira Garcia

Palmira Garcia, age 99, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Bridgeport Manor. Born in Spain on February 20, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Eugenia Bordas Lavin. Mrs. Garcia was predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio Garcia, two brothers, Leandro and Antonio Perojo and a sister, Eugenia Miano. Survivors include two loving daughters, Palmira Garcia of Bridgeport and Dr. Connie Blanchard and her husband Dr. Kendall Blanchard of Americus, GA, a brother, Gonzalo Lavin of Barre VT., two grandchildren Michael Anthony and Ryan Patton, three great grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole and Ryan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
