Lifelong Resident of Bridgeport

Jane Shelley O’Brien, age 85, of Bridgeport, a former employee for the City of Bridgeport, Registrar of Voters Office, died on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 7, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Toomey Shelley. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, John H. O’Brien. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, Mrs. O’Brien dedicated her life to the care of her family. She was a member of the Republican Town Committee. Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen O’Brien, Shelley O’Brien and Maureen Niestemski, all of Bridgeport, a sister, Catherine Barrett of Bridgeport, two grandsons, Trevor and Kyle as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 7 pm.
