Grace G. Richards

Grace Giordanella Richards, age 82, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of Phillips Medical, died on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on May 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Pauline Giordanella. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Richards loved to laugh. She enjoyed her daily get togethers with her 10th floor lady friends at Laurelwood. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, Matthew, Peter and Andrew Giordanella and Vincent Bosco, a sister, Concetta Bosco Raspberry and her long time companion, Stephen Zelich. Survivors include a daughter, Gail Kerwin of Orange, a son, John V. Richards and his wife, Joanne of St. Augustine, Florida, four grandchildren, Michelle Richards, Nicole Richards, Michael Kerwin, Jr. and Jennifer Kerwin and one great grandson, Luke Moore who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her extended family, The Wilkes, who took her into their hearts and home and always made the holidays special and her two special friends, Jean Stevens and Chris Pettit.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Cathedral, 359 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. There will be no calling hours.
