Jennie Bien Florentino, age 72, of Fairfield, a sales associate for Filene’s Department Store, died on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emily Budnick Bien. She was a graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport and lived in Fairfield over 42 years. Mrs. Florentino enjoyed gardening and caring for her many pets. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and their young friends, as well. Jennie was also known by many customers for her dedicated work in the Woman’s Better Sportswear Department at Filene’s of Trumbull. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Mark (Tony) A. Florentino, a daughter, Wanda McCarthy, and her husband, Brian, of Monroe, two cherished grandchildren, Lindsay and Collin, a brother, Anthony Bien, and his wife, Maryann, of Trumbull, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationFriends are invited to meet on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd. Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
