Sue (Assunta) Gabriel

August 15, 1924 - September 26, 2005

Sue (Assunta) Laporta Gabriel, age 81, of Trumbull, died on Monday, September 26, 2005 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on August 15, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Leonarda Vecchiolla Laporta. Mrs. Gabriel was a former volunteer at St. Joseph’s Manor. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Anthony Gabriel, three daughters, Linda Klein and her husband, Barry of Stratford, Elaine Gabriel of Trumbull and Judy Cuseo of Fairfield, three grandchildren, Jason Klein of Stratford, Brian Cuseo and Danielle Cuseo, both of Fairfield as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Maria Laporta and Jennie Greenwood.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
