Alfred J. Zacchia, age 77, of Fairfield, a retired employee for Universal Car Loading and Distributing Co., died on Monday, July 4, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 28, 1927, he was a son of the late Adolph and Delia Lucarelle Zacchia. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Zacchia was an avid golfer. Survivors include two sons, Richard Zacchia and his wife, Constance of Stratford and Joseph Zacchia of Westbrook, two daughters, Pamela Pinto of Fairfield and Patricia Masanotti of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, Richard, Lindsay, Liza, John and Megan and one great grandson, David as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by one brother, Adolph and four sisters, Rose, Valerie, Louise and Annette. Funeral InformationFriends are invited to meet directly in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. |
