Catherine Vozza

February 25, 1922 - May 15, 2005

Catherine DeRiso Vozza, age 83, of Bridgeport, a retired sales associate for D. M. Read’s, died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. Born in Bridgeport on February 25, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Montuori DeRiso. Mrs. Vozza was active at the Bishop Curtis Homes and volunteered for the Girl Scouts of America. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Alphonse Vozza, two brothers, Joseph and Frank DeRiso and two sisters, Jennie and Filomena DeRiso. Survivors include a son, Robert Vozza and his wife, Pam of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Robbie and Lexxi of Bethel and Zoe of Phoenix as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and aides of Lord Chamberlain Health Care Fourth Floor and the VNS Hospice at Home Service for the excellent care given to Mrs. Vozza.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield.
