Jack Ryan Bachand, newborn infant son of Derek and Yvonne Palmer Bachand of Trumbull, was born and died on Monday, May 24, 2004. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother Ethan.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, a fund has been established in Jack’s name to give something back to the people of Bridgeport Hospital’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit - whose efforts, compassion and support will be a comfort the rest of our lives. Special chairs will be purchased for the unit so that other parents will have a comfortable place to sit alongside their children for as long as they need to be there.
