John R. Lathrop

John R. Lathrop, age 80, of Trumbull, a retired trailer truck driver, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Trumbull, he was a son of the late Frederick and Mary Agnes Lynch Lathrop, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Teamsters local 191 retirees, and a charter member of the Miamogue Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Helen Boland Lathrop, a son, William J. Lathrop and Debbie Manchester of Oxford, two sisters, Jane F. Pignetti of Trumbull and Leurenda S. Thornton of Massachusetts, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robert J. Lathrop, a brother, Fred A. Lathrop Jr., and two sisters, Mary A. Leska and Mabel T. Litwin. The family would like to express thanks to the doctors and nurses at Bridgeport Hospital, the VNA Hospice of Trumbull and Trumbull Emergency Medical Services.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends can meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. on Friday, May 9, 2008. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
