CANNONE – Robert J. Cannone, Jr., age 71, of Oxford, died at his residence on Monday, October 1, 2007. Born in South Fork, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1935, he was a son of the late Robert James and Ruth Viola Varner Cannone, Sr. A resident of Oxford for 32 years, he previously resided in Bridgeport and Fairfield. He was a mill wright and train engineer at Carpenter Steel for 30 years and also worked at United Illuminating before retiring in 1999. Mr. Cannone was an avid hunter, fisherman, NASCAR fan and he also enjoyed horseback riding. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda Carnaroli Cannone, two children, Robert Cannone and Tammy Bavolacco, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Greg Tirone of Trumbull, special nephews and niece, Mike, Danny, Rick, Joe and Laurie as well as several additional nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by two brothers, Charles and Joseph Cannone and a sister, Gwendolyn Millo. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. |
