Esther J. Riess

Esther J. Gorham Riess, age 80, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Gabriel S Riess, died on Friday, February 2, 2007, at Bridgeport Hospital. A daughter of the late Willis and Agnes Chase Gorham, she was born on November 10, 1926 in Fairfield and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Turner, three grandchildren; Dawn Demers, Chrissie Flathers and Scott Turner, five great grandchildren; Brandon and Ronald Demers, Anthony and Jason Flathers and Kaylee Turner,all of Bridgeport; a sister, Ann Chedister of Derby and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Riess.

Funeral Information

Friends are invited to meet directly in Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Tnpk, Fairfield at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 for graveside committal services. There will be no calling hours.
