Catherine (Kay) Pisacreta Romano, age 84, of Bethlehem and formerly of Monroe, beloved wife of Thomas S. Romano, died peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2008. Born in S. Diagio di Serino, Province of Avellino, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Carmen and Margaret Barone Pisacreta. Mrs. Romano was a sales associate for D. M. Read’s Department Store. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be most lovingly remembered for her care and devotion to her family. In addition to her husband of 62 years, survivors include three loving children, George Romano and his wife Candy of Bethlehem, Margaret Chuckta and her husband Michael and Kathy Lucey and her husband Rich, all of Monroe, seven cherished grandchildren, Thomas Romano, Anthony Romano and his fiancée Stacy Roos, Nicole Lucey, Michael Chuckta III, Kathleen Lucey and her fiancé Moataz Ghounem, Caitlin Chuckta and Shannon Lucey as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Roger and Samuel Pisacreta. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
