Sophie A. Urbanowicz, age 96, of Trumbull, entered in God’s eternal peace at St. Vincent’s Medical Center on Thursday, December 1, 2005 after a short illness. Born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, she relocated to Connecticut in 1942. She was the daughter of Valentine and Anna Davitt and was the last surviving sibling of ten children. Her beloved husband, Stanley pre-deceased her in 1988. At that time, they had been married for 61 years. She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Thomas and his wife, Marilyn, all of Trumbull, four granddaughters, Deborah, wife of Jeff Bevino of Milford, Donna, wife of Michael Melisi of Trumbull, Kathleen, wife of Walter Reiser of West Longbranch, NJ and Lisa Urbanowicz and George Salanto of Milford. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Emily-Ann and Allie-Marie Reiser, Falon-Nicole and Michael-Thomas Bevino and Nicolina-Marie Salanto. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 12:00 noon from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 1:00 p.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, Pulaski Street, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. |
