Angelina D’Ostilio, daughter of the late Prospero and Lenardo Pavia died on Monday, August 9, 2010 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was 85 years old. Mrs. D’Ostilio was born in Bridgeport, CT and moved to Trumbull, CT in 1954. During World War II she worked at the Brass Shop in Bridgeport making shell casings for the military. She worked at various companies throughout her life including American Chain, Wheeler Wire Company in Bridgeport and later Red L. in Monroe. She retired as a cafeteria worker from the Trumbull School System in 1991. Mrs. D’Ostilio was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. A resident of Trumbull for 56 years, she is survived by her husband Anthony of Trumbull, a son Michael D’Ostilio and his wife Marietta of Fredericksburg, VA, two daughters Elizabeth McGuire and her husband John of Torrington and Angela Miccinello and her husband Daniel of Branford. She has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Heather Clemens and her husband David of Williamsburg, VA and her two children, Christopher and Mary; Michael D’Ostilio Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Turnersville, NJ and his two children, Andrew and Amelia; John Anthony McGuire of Branford; Justina McGuire of Keene, NH; Dannielle Miccinello of Newark, DE and Benjamin Miccinello of Providence, RI. She is also survived by her brother, Nickolas Pavia of Devon and three sisters living in Bridgeport, Rose Gresh, Elizabeth DePeano and Dorothy Pavia. She was a parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Trumbull for 56 years. Mrs. D’Ostilio was a member of Confraternity of the Rosary at St. Theresa, as well as a Girl Scout Leader from 1954 through 1958. More recently she was a member of St. Theresa Senior Citizens, St. Andrew’s Friendship Club and the Trumbull Women’s Club. Her love for her family was foremost in her life. She had a passion for baking and cooking. Her family will always remember the wonderful aromas that permeated her house during the holidays and the cherished memories she created. Funeral InformationFuneral services will take place on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information
