Joseph F. Gentile, age 79, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2010 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria Collucci Gentile. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a retired Machinist for the Allison Company. He was pre-deceased by his brother Fred. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Patsolic Gentile, a son Joseph A. and his wife Lilian of Trumbull, a daughter Mary DelMastro and her husband John of Trumbull, a brother Ben and his wife Joyce of Prospect, two sisters Louise Grannonio of Shelton and Ann Waterman and her husband Jerry of Bridgeport and sister in-law Frances Gentile of Fairfield. In addition he is survived by five cherished grandchildren Stephen, Michael and Danielle Gentile and Andrew and Nicholas DelMastro and several nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationFriends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrating his life on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. |
