Jeanne DeLaPorte Georges, age 88, of New York City, died on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Wilton Meadows Health Care. Born in France, Mrs. Georges came to the United States in 1947 and formerly owned and operated the Yarn and Darn Store in Stamford for over 20 years. She was predeceased by a brother, Andre DeLaPorte. Survivors include her son, Philip Georges and his wife Debbie Russi of Trumbull.
