Frances Pianello

June 27, 1922 - August 02, 2008

Frances Carfi Pianello, age 86, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died peacefully on Saturday August 2, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on June 27, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Georgina Santacroce Carfi. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Frances touched many lives with her love and care and will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Pianello Jr., a son Vincent J. Pianello and her devoted step father Angelo Sanchez. Survivors include four loving children, Victor Pianello and his companion Frances Cavanna of Madison, Ruth A. Smey of Fairfield, George Pianello of Bridgeport and James Pianello and his wife Joyce of Seymour, eight cherished grand children, Vincent, Laura, Peter, Victor, Sara, Alecia, Stacie and Gary, nine great grand children and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday August 6, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
